linux command line option hell

I just tried to get a quick overview of how to use the linux lsof command.

it has .. let me count it for you .. 40 command line switches. 40! watching the man page was no fun.

'but 40>24 ?!', I thought for a short moment and tried to remember the letters of the alphabet (english) and if it really has 24 (no, it has 26). but of course that still fits - just add the uppercase letters. so as we see, there is still plenty of space for more options.

so I'm wondering - does a unix command with more options exist? maybe tar? or ls? rsync?

so far, here is my top 4:

ls: 39 (54 including long options, but that's cheating)

lsof: 38 (not counting +|-something, otherwise.. argh, recount.. 48)

tar : 46 (counting -[0-7][lmh] as 1; but 94 including long opts)

rsync: 42 (weehee - 100 incl. long opts)

Pourquoi tous les champs ne sont pas en langue Française? difficile pour les Francophones de traduire l'Anglais

Für alle die mal ne kurze Ablenkung benötigen, hier ein sehr lustiges Falsh Spiel, Line Rider. Man malt eine Linie mittels seiner Maus und drückt dann auf den Play Button. Man versucht den Line Rider lebend nach unten zu bekommen.
