Nero Silent / Unattended Install?

Hey Guys!

I'm working on a project of mine using nlite et al to make an unattended install of Windows XP, and would like to do a Nero install as a post-installation process. Can this be done with Nero 7 and/or 8?

Joey
Nero 8 - Stops Cd' installations

My first blog, and it's all about Nero 8, I can't be bothered to contact support about it.

So, Brand new machine, Installed Vista Business... installed various software and stuff.. then install Nero... then start to install some games...

ghost recon advanced warfighter, 1 and 2, tiberium wars 3, etc etc, every one of then, installation freezes.. after a minute,,,

try to end the process, nothing happens... hell task manager doesnt even OPEN!... but took me a while to find out, that nero was infecting this problem.

incd maybe? - I disabled some programs from automatically starting.. when loggin in/computer starts.. but they still started.. oh well, after uninstalling nero, cd installation's works again... (i downloaded the latest nero 8 applcation, 8.3.2.1)

la la la, nero recommened to be used on my machine again? i think not... i like my games and i dont want some application to stop me from installing my cd/dvd applications ... k,thx

Is it worth upgrading Nero 6 to 7?

I have been running Nero 6 for some years without any problems. I have just purchased an external DVD/RW drive (to suplement my old internal 8x drive) and it came bundled with Nero 7 essentials. The drive works happily with Nero 6, so my question is - should I upgrade to Nero 7 (and do I just install over the top) - or leave well alone? Would I gain any benefits by upgrading?

I would appreciate any advice and guidance.

Satisfied in Customer service and easy reinstall to new Vista

-You know vista isn't a very happy programing fails to be married long with anyone. ( Hmmm, like the "x" ) but, vista continues to suck the heck out my ramming speed and drains my memory like no known culprit of the past. Knowing size does really matter..

Those growing up in the time of the Baby boomer s , when 256 mg was a lot .now a Gig sits inside a card,we think is small but inside it is something we throw a couple hundred songs into our razor two's , It's size being so small a pair of those hemostats need to be pulled out again, to put inside a little holder something that could be blown away in a small breeze . Us Baby boomer's and web trippers ,think it is something out of star trekking.

The kids look at it as just another something that you can put a lot more of something on .Who cares about size. But whose paying the bills .Yeah .( I'm getting away from the subject I know ) Hey we get a clean download and our trust improves , viruses are lower threat and music has gotten to a level we have never achieved before.

Now with all that Said, Heck who can you trust more. Nero , bought from a box. Did not matter if I had , or purchased on line and on line --,she remembered my Registration info and made my re-install, a happy get together as my more ram is added , not along with memory going into the levels on the inside and out and edible Tera-Bite this program handles it all, without any help from various programs costing and costing , finally , we go with all with the claim of vista, more and less complicated. Uptime improves, backups are something we know just happens an our needs have finally been met. That hole that I thought was ripped out of my Heart! Of the computer . Ram, is a nice relief and all these new , younger and external drives, float around, I'm happy, life is better.

The newer programs and the old crap of the past can be thrown in the trash along with old ass

programs and all that S*&% gone with it.

NERO is GOOD , NERO IS GREAT!!

Thank you,

Mxamus

Nero-Ultra Editions

I jus wanna say that I've used Nero's Ultra Editions for quite a few years now.The CD -burner software that came with my system [stock burner],was Nero, and it was my first computer, and the first time using a computer,so I was pretty green in regards to what apps were the best.So I decided to upgrade the Demo Nero utility with the full version, and realized what a good product Nero was.As time past, very quickly,Nero 7 was being advertized as the next best 'burning' application[!].
Then came the time when viruses were affecting my CPU,and could not get rid of a certain virus that refused to be elliminated,so I decided to format the HD,and re-install everything fresh. That is when I first had problems with installing Nero 6 Ultra Edition, which was a feature -packed application. It would load to about 90% finished then the ERRORs would plague me for a good few days,as I could not install,or I should say Nero would not install.
Then I thought ,I'll upgrade to Nero7 and my problems would be solved[?] It installed alright and had no problems until I had another CPU crisis, whereby formatting was the only option, and again Nero started to get errors and not complete the install. The thing is I like Nero, and the apps that are part of the install just adds to its quality.
Now that Nero8 is available,I am not sure that I will continue to upgrade my edition, cause I feel or fear having to run into the same problems that has plagued me since my first format.
The thing is my knowledge of CPUs is minimal, but just enough to keep my personal confuser running.I'd also like to add that this is just a 'Rant'
On my next write-up maybe Nero7 would hopefully be installed and I could stop my complaining.
Installation issues (PhotoShow)

I love Nero, I've used Nero 7 Ultra for a while and it's great!

But, I purchased PhotoShow 4 Deluxe, with a free upgrade to PhotoShow 5 Deluxe as a download from Nero, and I haven't been able to install either program.

Anyone else having installation issues?

Everytime I start the installation, it downloads the big file (about 39 Mb) and then a window pops up saying the Installation failed and that I should start again. I start again and the same things happens.

I have XP 2.

I've been on tech support for about a month, and they haven't been able to help. They suggested that I turn off my anti-virius software, but that didn't help.

Please help if you can, I'm getting desperate. I have some slide shows I have to make for a family re-union and time is running out!

Regards,
