Bleiben wir beim Fußball, gehen aber ein paar Etagen höher — in jeder Hinsicht. Nicht nur, dass wir statt von einem Co- von einem richtigen Bundestrainer sprechen. Nein, wir verlassen auch den Boden und begeben uns in die Höhe von über 12.000 Metern. Dort hat laut "Bild am Sonntag" der Bundestrainer während des Flugs der Nationalmannschaft nach China neben den Piloten Platz genommen und für entspannte Stimmung gesorgt. Nicht einmal die in dieser Höhe eher selten auftretenden Autos konnten die gute Laune im Cockpit trüben.

Here are some highlight plays from Jordan's junior year as a starter on the offensive and defensive line for Grimsley High School, Greensboro, North Carolina. For highlights from Jordan's 2007 sophomore season, click here.

Jordan received a team award at the December 2008 team banquet for "Guts, Hustle and Spirit" as shown in the video posted in the video section, to the right of this blog entry.

For his defensive line work during the 2008 season, Jordan was selected to the All-Conference team and received Honorable Mention for the All-Area team.

These are video clips of the 1939 Sun Bowl shot by Louis V. Olson. The University of Utah is in the white jerseys with gold pants and helmets, while the University of New Mexico is in the red jerseys and helmets. Utah was the Mountain States Conference Champion, while New Mexico was the Border Conference Champion during the 1938 season. This game was played on January 2, 1939 at Kidd Field in El Paso, Texas. Utah won the game 26-0. The stars of the game were Tom Pace and Ray Peterson. Peterson had 137 all-purpose yards on the day. At the beginning of the video, you see Utah All-American Bernard McGarry at the coin toss.

Here is my analysis of the game:

1) What took so long to put Crouch in?

2) Why did Liverpool not go on the attack sooner?

3) Here is what I think of AC Milan, and Italian football generally, when it comes to toughness, complaining to the refs, and general acting/flopping on the pitch:

Liverpool should have won, and that goal was NOT offside. Stupid CaCa...

Okay, so there's been some football chat on here between neroites TonyT, Fatbloke and myself. I want to clear some things up:

1) I am NOT a Liverpool fan, I just don't understand supporting a foreign team over an English team in Champions League.

2) I won't tell you which Premier league club I really support, but if you guess right, I'll post a really funny joke up here. Hint: our club has friends in high places.

3) Peter Crouch is not as bad as people think. He's a good long ball striker, and not just because of his height. Plus he's a snappy dancer.

4) David Beckham sucks. And he's coming to my local club, too. And we paid 50 million dollars for him. Plus another 200 million in profit sharing. 250 million dollars. So stupid. So incredibly stupid. Of course, this is Los Angeles, so we care more about looks than skills.
