So, as you may have guessed, the Nero Dude is something of a gadget head. I dig cool gizmos. And one of the coolest of the cool for this holiday season has got to be the new Motorola Droid.

Based on Android technology, the Droid has got both a touch screen and a qwerty keyboard, so those of you who are all thumbs can get a workout either way. It also comes with navigation based on Google Maps technology, and is supported in general by Google, which is exciting for those of us waiting for more Google involvement in the mobile arena. It's even got a 5 megapixel, low-light camera integrated into it. Pretty nifty stuff – we're talking about a real iPhone killer here, folks.

But what really makes this phone cool is its software, especially Motorola Media Link – powered by Nero, thank you very much – which gives the phone a whole host of new abilities and ways to talk to your computer. Hi all,

I know some folks have had some troubles with installing the Nero 9 Trial, and the Nero 9 Downloadable Version and Updates. We're working on getting this fixed asap. But here's the juice from official sources, this will solve your problems, so please read carefully:

Nero 9 customers who purchased a Downloadable Version (not Retail Box) or currently have Nero 9 Trial version, must follow the steps below to take advantage of the latest Nero Update:

Step 1: Run the Nero Clean Tool - this uninstalls your previous version of Nero 9 in preparation for the current Nero 9 update. Nero Clean Tool will also uninstall the following applications - Nero Move it, Nero BackItUp 4 and Nero MediaHome 4 - if installed on your computer. Please make sure to keep record of your current serial numbers for reinstallation of these applications.

Step 2: Download and Install the latest Nero 9 Product Update.

Step 3: Enter in your current Nero 9 serial number to complete installation process.

Step 4: If you own other Nero products (such as Nero BackItUp, Nero Move it, Nero Media Home) you will need to reinstall these products individually, AFTER you have installed Nero 9.

If you experience any installation issues, please contact Support.

This Software requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 to run on Windows XP. Please download and install from here.

Many of you are interested in the new Template Packs for Nero 9, and are wondering how to get a hold of 'em. Well, don't you worry, my Nero faithful -- they're on the way. We're currently making sure they kick the same level of butt you expect all Nero products to do, so they're not ready yet.

I did not get the Photoshop Deluxe even when I instantly paid w/credit card. The download does not included Photshop.

Is there a shortage of plastic in the world? If not, then why do we have to "download" almost everything from Nero?? Yes, there are many people out there with DSL and/or high speed internet. But, sadly, there are people out there who still use dial-up modems [not by choice]. So, we "buy" the software, then we have to "buy" the CD because it would be almost impossible to download the huge massive file[s] that Nero uses. Right now, they have this "special" offer to upgrade to Nero 8 and you get this FREE software. Well, guess what. You have to download the FREE software as you can NOT get it on CD. The free software is over 35 meg. Take a nap if you are downloading with a dial-up! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz On top of everything else the software acts up most of the time. I need a drink...maybe I will use a "plastic" cup.

Well, I purchased the dvd video plugin for Nero 6 OEM online tonight (Australia) and was dying to try my new DVD player, but of course the confirmation page didn't have a download link! I've received the serial number via email but have no way of downloading the thing. Of course, it's the weekend and customer service is closed so I have very little chance of getting a response to my 'help' email for another 36 hours .. very disappointing .. not a good start for me and Nero .. I was thinking of purchasing the new no. 7 online .. think I'll give it a miss now ....
